Been there. Done that. Didn't like it the first time.

Overused

I'd hate to break it to you, but this HAS to be the 300th flash that I've seen which uses that very same song by Linkin Park as a theme--if not the entire basis of the flash. It's by far the most unoriginal song that can be put into a flash on NG.

Anyway, on to the technical aspects. It consisted of little more than stick figures, but it was more than just one drawing of a stick figure. The drawings were pretty bad n'stuff, but they were somewhat more fluid than the average Linkin-Park-Worshipping-Stick-Movie. That adds bonus points into the score.

It wasn't presented very badly at all, either. Its simplicity doesn't impress me at all, but it definitely deserves more than a blam. You should perhaps make another animation that has more than just stick figures in it--actual drawings, and lots of them. Better luck next time!

NICE.

Your drawings are downright WONDERFUL, but for some reason I didn't exactly like the way that everyone was animated. The character's mouths were out of sync with what was being said, and the actual fighting scene was actually pretty shakey and repetitive. I'm not much of a fan of the voices, either. Also, there were some areas where the use of gradients just didn't work too well--such as when used with the blood or that red whip thing that showed up during the fighting scene.

Anyway, you clearly spent a HELL of a lot of time on this film, and for that you get a 5 and my thumbs up ^_^ There's room for improvement in your animations, but keep up the good work!

dude i cannot thank you enough for the review. I see now where i went wrong and have room for improvement. I am a perfectionist. thank you again.
Peace. =0)

You should have at LEAST tested the preloader so that this would be actually watchable.

Claymation, eh?

Quite original for newgrounds! I must admit, your audio and voiceacting is by far some of the worst that I have ever heard in my life, I love the animation. Good job.

Knox responds:

thanks, you dont have to be so harshon the voice acting,i am an award winning artist!,i know what im doing!
no hard fealings..good fight

Ermm....

The graphics really aren't that great--they're just gradiented spheres and shapes. The 'punches' are just tweened enlargements of the said shapes. The background is also just a gradient with oversized brush strokes to indicate grass. The music did not help your movie at all--it was a little too loud for something so simple--and the movie was so amazingly short and possessed so little content that it made me wonder why it was made in the first place. Perhaps it was rushed. Know that quality takes priority over speed.

Some voiceacting or sound effects would've been better instead of that track.

However, you do get a thumbs up for making it only 138.1KB--at least you didn't leave in the whole song and keep this at 4MB or something.

I suggest learning how to draw characters better and adding in more action and actual animation before continuing.

Maxacutioner responds:

well, its like this. if u didnt realize, this is a story. almost even, like a book. some chapters are longer than others. this was to continue the story, like a middle episode. like Lord of the Rings. in theaters. LoTR: Two Towers didn't really have a plot, just continued the first. there wasnt much to happen at this point in the chapter, because there has to be one more episode to complete this. what? 5 more seconds? thats all that coulda been added if they flew to the moon, cuz if i went any further, there would be no last chapter. i assure u, the next chapter will be longer. it is the end and therefor many things will happen. in Chapter 3, all the episodes will be longer because of the story that follows that. Peace.

Nice ^_^

It was a little slow, but this is a perfect parody. Your vector work is terriffic--and I love the stammering in his voice. Thumbs up!

WORST. VOICEACTING. EVER.

OH MY GOD! It's a Captain N ripoff!!! He even dresses like him, for crying out loud.

This movie was painful to watch. All voicing was boring and monotonous, and the level of animation was extremely limited. I haven't heard worse voiceacting in months. This is worse than Megaman X4.

The movie just kept dragging on. There was not enough content, but the duration was there... which made it all that much more horrible.

...And do something about that villain. So many people think that they can just put a voice through any old filter and assume that it makes them evil. Instead we're left with something hollow and unthreatening, which is due to the fact that nobody put any emphasis in their lines.

You get a '2' for effort, though.

MetalMaverick responds:

You can always tell which people never read the artist comments.

NNOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!11!!11ONE

NO. NO, NO, NO.

This is pure garbage. PURE UTTER TRASH. Here's why.

First off, there is NO reason for a 1-2 minute movie to take up over 4 megs. If you bothered to read the flash manual, you would've known how to compress audio--or at least STREAM it so that it didn't include the whole song for parts that did not contain animation.

The sprite movements were slow and laggy, and they were not in proportion to the backgrounds that they were in. They were too small--I've said this countless times for all horrendous sprite movies made by 14 year olds who probably pirated flash off of Kazaa, but the sprites are WAY too small. People shouldn't have to squint to see your movie.

...Also, it's all spritework. Aside from maybe one or two still-frame vectors I saw somewhere in there. I take that as a negative--ANYONE can steal graphics from a video game and call it an animation. The FPS could've been enhanced--all of the scenes seemed to be in slow-motion.

Your script is terrible. It was filled with incomplete and incoherent sentences. Not only that, this movie was only about 1 or 2 minutes long, and incomplete. Incomplete movies suggest that the author is just too lazy to finish their movies. In this case, it's even worse, considering the horrible job that was done, coupled with the fact that all of your material was made for you. The music, the graphics, even the 'joke' was made for you.

...Throwing in Mario at the end was not funny. At all. I don't see how that could, in the least, redeem this abomination. I feel that this movie is exactly what's wrong with Newgrounds--the content may be poor, but, hey, it's got Megaman. Let's all vote 5 T_T

BLAM

Hmm!

Well, I'm kind of impressed that you drew all of the frames. However, I'm still disappointed by the fact that the drawings are very poor, and that the cartoon wasn't funny. Still, you made an excellent attempt, and the amount of effort put into this movie really shows... except you need to do is work on your drawings (...and perhaps the scripts...) With that, you'll have excellent movies.

If you are reading this, I am already dead. Maybe. Probably.
